“How to be happy?” is one of the most common questions, and the answer is quite simple:
Set goals and fulfill them. That’s all. It really is that straightforward.
We all love feeling good. How do we achieve that? Of course, it’s impossible to be in a super mood every single day—nor should we be. The bad moments are just as necessary. We wouldn’t have learned to walk if we hadn’t fallen—repeatedly. Throwing tantrums over life’s “floor moments” isn’t productive.
If we consider that time is the most valuable thing we have, then spending it wisely is what brings fulfillment.
What does “quality time management” mean? It means spending time on yourself…
Nothing Lasts Forever
Everything we’ve ever been given in life, we’ll eventually lose. Relying on material things for happiness is a terrible idea. Parents will leave, children will leave, partners may or may not stay—who knows what whim will sway them? Apartments, money, cars…
Everything can disappear in the next second.
It’s fine to enjoy these things, but always remember: they’re temporary. Enjoy them while they last, savor the moments, and collect beautiful memories.
What Truly Stays With You?
The only things that follow us wherever we go, no matter what we do, are:
Our knowledge
Our skills
Our achievements
They stay with us for life and never abandon us. We can always rely on them. (Unless severe mental illness strikes—but then, none of this would matter anyway.)
Set Goals—Then Take Action
Set a goal! And every day, dedicate at least 30 minutes to making it happen. Better yet, set multiple goals!
The path to achieving a goal is learning. It’s not a “thorny” path, not a “hard” path, not an “unhappy” path—it’s a path of learning. And when we look back, no matter how difficult the journey was, we’ll be glad we took it. The toughest roads give us the deepest fulfillment—they give us value, strength, and self-confidence.
Sometimes, we might not even know what we want or what goals to set. But in those moments, it’s better to pick any goal and start moving toward it than to stand still. Because we never know what awaits us on which path or where it might lead…
Keep Moving—No Matter What
No matter what happens in life, as long as we keep moving, we’re unstoppable. When we move, we’re strong. When we move, we win—even if we fall. And when you hit a wall and don’t know what to do? Climb the wall. Do anything—just don’t stand still.
What are your goals? And what will you do TODAY to make them happen?
